Perched directly on Nantucket Sound, the Ocean House Restaurant brings coastal dining to a whole new level. Occasionally referred to as the "shi-shi beach house of the Cape", the Ocean House melds outstanding views with excellent service and spectacular cuisine for one of the best dining experiences on the Cape. The double-sided fireplace opens from the bar into the elegant and airy dining room, where endless windows offer a dramatic ocean view. The seasonal menu may be simple in approach but it's artfully presented and complemented by an extensive wine list that boasts more than 25 by-the-glass selections.

Anthony Silvestri

Chef at Ocean House

Anthony Silvestri, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, honed his culinary skills in the restaurants of Long Island.

A six-month long sabbatical spent traveling around the world gave him an opportunity to get a feel for the cuisines of the countries across the globe. Silvestri made the most of his visits, apprenticing himself to established culinary professionals and taking cooking lessons from locals as well.

His experiences in Hawaii, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia, specifically, inspired him, giving him some great ideas for enhancing local regional cuisine with exotic ingredients and spices.

Upon his return to the United States, Silvestri headed back to Long Island, where he was appointed Executive Chef of East by Northeast Restaurant on the east end of Long Island. His first cookbook included menus and recipes that he created there.

In 2005 he moved with his wife to Cape Cod, Massachusetts where he now resides and continues his culinary career at the Ocean House Restaurant in Dennisport.
